Portugal has it: the most beautiful McDonald’s in the world! And it’s not just about superlatives in terms of ambience, but also in terms of grease recovery and clean waste water: because from now on, the number one fast food provider in the secretive capital of Porto is using the “FiltaFOG Cyclone” grease recovery unit, which tops all current grease separation and energy efficiency values and is already planned for other locations.

The McDonald’s restaurant, which opened in 1995, is located in the premises of the famous Café Imperial, which opened in the city in the 1930s. Café Imperial was known at the time as an example of Art Deco architecture.

Filta – full-service mobile fryer management – was founded in 1996 in the UK and operates on a franchise basis.
